The best teams inMadden NFL 24often use their own playbooks. For example, if the team has two elite tight ends and is short on receiver talent, the playbook will often reflect that. Always be aware of the personnel when selecting a playbook; just because a three wide receiver set is standard doesn’t mean that every team can utilize it well.

For the ground game, pro players get the best yards per carry out of the 0 1 Trap, HB Blast, and HB Stretch. All playbooks have these in some capacity but the goal is to run drive traffic away from the direction of the play. In the case of the HB Blast, only six playbooks (Balanced, Run n Gun, West Coast, Bills, Giant, Raiders) use the I-Form Tight HB Blast that goes away from the play.
Balanced also has the powerful Shotgun Trey Y-Flex Wk formation that spread receivers to the outside and make for a nice 0 1 Trap in the middle. Run n Gun uses the Pistol Trips, a favorite among the pros, for a solid HB Stretch.The best running backswill feast in either system.
Running gets most of the focus because so few plays work well; pitches aren’t what they used to be, naked dives are easily sniffed out by linebackers, and HB Power-style plays have the blockers get in the way of the lanes. But passing must also be considered.
