Speaking on theXbox Podcastafter the gameplay trailer’s debut,Metal Gear Solidseries producer Noriaki Okamura confirmed that the remake will have a “Legacy Style” setting that will change the camera to a pulled-back overhead angle that hearkens back to the original, with the standard over-the-shoulder camera dubbed as “New Style.”

Okamura elaborated further on the Legacy Style option, revealing that it also changes the remake’s control scheme to be more in line with the 2004 title, while also applying a visual filter that will “more faithfully recreate” the graphical presentation ofMetal Gear Solid 3. The producer states that the visual filter in particular will give the remake a more “aged look,” possibly referring to the green-yellowish tint thatnumerous games of the PS2 eraare remembered for.Metal Gear Solid 3sported the same color palette, which means the yellow filter will live on with the upcoming remake.

Konami has yet to provide a release date forMetal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, but hasunveiled the collector’s edition and commenced preordersfor the remake.
