Like previous games in the series,Metroid Dreadhas many different items and abilities that will help Samus find her way back to the ship on the surface of the planet. There are ice missiles, wave beams, cross bombs, storm missiles, and even a speed booster ability that allows Samus to run very fast, crushing enemies and blocks in her path. By using thisMetroid Dreadguide, confused players can find outwhere to go after getting the Speed Boosterpower.
How to Get Speed Booster in Metroid Dread
Metroid Dreadplayers will get their hands on the Speed Booster item after defeating theyellow EMMI robot in the Dairon area. Samus will need to use the Omega Blaster and Cannon taken from the Central Unit. Samus will automatically equip the item and now players can use the booster to reach several new areas.

How the Speed Booster and Shinespark Works in Metroid Dread
To ready the Speed Booster, players will need to press down on the left stick and a small blue glow will appear onSamus' suit. After running for a certain distance, the booster will activate and Samus can break through the Speed Booster Blocks, which have arrows on them. Players can also shoot themselves in any direction by using a Shinespark. After players reach top speed, they can tilt the left stick down to ready it. Press B to use it and then tilt the left stick to choose the direction for Samus to fly in.
Where to Go After Getting Speed Booster?
After leaving Daironwith the new Speed Booster power-up, players should head to the first area of the game, Artaria. Head to the upper level of the area pictured in the screenshot above. It’s a little bit west of one of the Network Stations.
Here, players will spot a wall that needs to be broken with the Speed Booster. Use it to break the boxes and head up into the corridor to eventually reach an elevator, taking players to a new area of Dairon, allowing them toprogress further in theMetroid Dread’s story.
