Minecrafthas been going for so long now that it’s likely some people reading this will have practically grown up with the game. As spotted by PCGamesN, YouTuber RaineyX has done just such a thing. In a recent video of theirs, they decided to take some of the mobs that inhabit the world ofMinecraftand turn them intoMariocharacters through the use of a modding tool. Some examples include them taking a Panda and turning it into Wiggler, changing the model for the Horse into Yoshi, and even adjusting the Creeper to turn it into a Bob-omb, keeping the explosive nature of the original mob.

The result is pretty successful, with each new character looking exactly like a more blocky version of their original selves. RaineyX even managed to make baby versions.Mobs are an integral part ofMinecraft, breathing life into its vast world. While some mobs, such as the aforementioned Creeper, are antagonistic and keep the player on their toes, there are many others which are just part of the wilderness. The YouTuber’s video shows just what’s possible when it comes to remodeling them, and it really drives home the idea that there is so much that can be done in the game.
This is also not the first time the open-world sandbox title has been used to recreate aspects from the world-famous Nintendo franchise. Recently, a user on Reddit managed toturnMinecraftintoMario Kartby creating and adding in the vehicles from the long-running racing series. It’s for this reason, and many more, that Mojang’s game is still pulling in millions of players, despite being more than a decade old at this point.
In fact,Minecraftrecently had its 1.19 update, which adds even more to the game. While the general idea and gameplay mechanics from way back when are still very much present,Minecrafthas been through so many iterations and changes over the years. It seems that the studio is only too keen to keep implementing new ideas, while the community continues to showcase all sorts of interesting projects.
