But with only 18 characters available at the time of writing, there’s certainly some space forMultiVersusto expand its roster of fighters.In a new teaser posted toMultiVersus’Twitter account, the platform fighter has surprised fans by revealing that it is planning the release of a new character. From the 20-second video posted to the game’s Twitter and its caption referencing a “little, fluffy surprise,” many believe that aGremlinscrossover is coming toMultiVersusin the form of a new fighter. While this was previously confirmed on theMultiVersus’Season 1 loading screen, players didn’t know when they’d be getting a look at the new character. However, it is believed that if two differentGremlinscharacters are coming to the title, they may be playable through one fighter. Still, for many it will be exciting to see an unexpected crossover making its way intoMultiVersusso soon.
TheGremlinscharacter wasn’t expected to be added into the platform fighter until later on in the year, as many fans initially believed that the next addition to the roster would be Rick fromRick and Morty. Many thought that due to Rick already having files in the game andMorty releasing forMultiVersusrecently, the old scientist would be joining his grandson sooner rather than later. But it seems players will have to wait a little longer before they can go through ranked with a friend as Rick and Morty.
While theGremlinscrossover from Season 1’s loading screen has been confirmed, the other character revealed in that same image currently doesn’t have a release date.Black Adam was revealed alongside Striperecently, but fans are unsure when the superhero will be joiningMultiVersus’roster. Currently, players are speculating that Black Adam will drop some time around the release of Dwayne Johnson’s upcoming movie, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
