Crossover fighting gameMultiVersuslaunched its Season 1 earlier this month with an impressive roster of fighters.Over 20 million have playedMultiVersussince the game’s open beta, but to keep fans engaged for the long-term, the developers will need to add new members to the roster on a regular basis. To that end,MultiVersushas now added Morty Smith fromRick and Mortyto the game’s roster of playable fighters, available right now.

Morty is the first newMultiVersusfighter to be added to the game since its Season 1 launch, and to commemorate the occasion, Warner Bros. Interactive has released a new gameplay trailer for the character. The trailer shows Morty in action as a Bruiser class character, showcasing his various abilities and voice lines. Morty’s attacks are inspired by theRick and MortyTV series, with Morty having access to Armothy and a Plumbus, both of which should be familiar to fans of the show. Anyone interested in unlocking Morty will have to fork over 3,000 gold or 700 Gleamium. Gold can be earned in-game, whileGleamium isMultiVersus' premium currency.

Morty is the first new character added to theMultiVersusroster since the crossover fighting game launched Season 1, but there are at least three more characters expected to arrive between now and when Season 1 concludes on November 15. At some point, Morty will be joined by his grandfather Rick Sanchez inMultiVersus, and while Rick’s full move set has not been showcased, leaks have confirmed thatPickle Rick will be an alternate skin in the game.

The other characters confirmed forMultiVersusSeason 1 are Black Adam from DC Comics andStripe fromGremlins.
