The deserts of Sandrock are a harsh and unforgiving environment, full of sand and scrap and very little water. However, any builder starting up shop in the small town of Sandrock will quickly find out that it’s far from lifeless. As a matter of fact, they’ll find the desert teeming with life both on and beneath the surface, some more friendly than others.

Whether a player is on the hunt for leather from the wild yakmel just outside of town, fighting off rocket roosters interrupting their walk, or battling geeglers trying to sow discord in the town and its ruins, players ofMy Time at Sandrockwill have no shortage of combat they’ll have to go through during their job as a town builder. Luckily, there are plenty of weapons to choose from that can fit the player’s playstyle while still getting the job done.
8Iron Sword And Shield
For players looking for a perfect balance between damage, mobility, and defense, they need to look no further than the sword and shield. In addition to giving players a way to block incoming attacks from enemies, the sword and shield give a lightweight, fast-paced attack style that can do a sizable amount of damage to enemies in a small amount of time.
This also allows players the chance to dodge and block attacks without sacrificing too many opportunities to deal damage. If players are looking to use a sword and shield, their strongest option is tocraft an iron one at a forging machine.

7Iron Greatsword
When light amounts of damage aren’t enough, and sacrificing speed for more damage isn’t a deal breaker, the strongest option a player can use is an iron greatsword. In addition to doing the most damage out of the weapons currently in the game, hitting enemies with an iron greatsword deals two break damage to enemies’ defense.
This allows players to break through defenses and deal devastating damage in record time. As long as players can handle the slower attack speed, players can craft one at the forgingmachine to use in combat.

6Iron Spear
Players who prefer to do more damage but struggle with slower attack speeds may have better luck using a spear in combat. Luckily, the spears inMy Time at Sandrockcan take care of both of these issues by offering builders a powerful weapon with a long reach that keeps them a safe distance from most melee attacks.

For the strongest option, an iron spear will do almost as much damage as an iron greatsword, breakthrough enemies’ defenses fairly quickly, and can be crafted at a forging machine whenever the player needs one.
5Motivational Hammer
For anyone looking for something a bit more unique for their combat, the Motivational Hammer can be obtained by defeating the Geegler Presidentduring the “Belly of the Beast” quest. Having the Motivational Hammer equipped will boost the user’s attack, and depending on the quality of the hammer in question, can have anywhere from one to three random affixes that can aid the player in combat.
Aside from this, the Motivational Hammer will behave like a greatsword, dealing powerful damage, slow attack rates, and two break damage on every enemy that it hits.

4Iron Dagger
Not all of the weapons inMy Time at Sandrockprioritize power over speed. For some, attack power will take a backseat in favor of maneuverability, speed, and dodging. For this, no weapon will do a better job than iron daggers from the forging machine.
While daggers will take longer while chipping away at enemies’ defenses, the faster attack speed more than makes up for the smaller damage output as players can deal more attacks in a smaller amount of time, allowingmore time for players to deal damageand get out of the way before enemies counter with their own attack.

3Vintage Pistol
While the catalog of craftable and purchasable weapons inMy Time at Sandrockoffers a decent range of weapons that suit different fighting styles, one thing that normal starting weapons consistentlytend to lack is a ranged option.
Thankfully, if a player finds themself aching for a ranged attack that isn’t throwing one of their daggers, completing the “Belly of the Beast” quest will reward them with a vintage pistol they can use instead. While the pistol doesn’t do a large amount of damage in its normal state, the safety of firing from afar is more than a fair trade-off.

2Bronze Spear
While choosing the best weapon is an important part of any combat journey, finding the best or most efficient weapon isn’t always easy and is rarely practical during earlier gameplay when the player has fewer resources and machines that better items will need.

With this in mind, should a player ever have need of a nicer weaponbefore they have access to iron and a forging machine, a bronze spear is one of the stronger options that players can either craft at a forging machine or purchase from Hammer Time after a player has finished “The Show Must Go On” as a quest.
1Bronze Sword And Shield
For anyone looking for a reliable, well-rounded weapon they can count on to carry them through combat, but aren’t quite ready or able to craft an iron weapon yet, a bronze sword and shield is a good start for players looking to upgrade to a better weapon.
Not only will players have a decent damage output and attack rate, as well as the ability to block attacks and reduce damage taken, but a bronze sword and shield is also one of the best weapons the player can acquire with very little trouble. It can eitherbe crafted at a forging station or boughtat Hammer Time once “The Show Must Go On” quest is completed.
