The King’s Manis one of many filmsthat have been delayed due to the global pandemic. It was initially scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2020, but with many of the cinemas shutting down around the world, the studio decided to push the release to March 2021. This date was further moved to August, and finally to December 2021.

However, the delays go back much further, as the film was made before the Disney-Fox acquisition in 2019. As the paperwork was being completed, the films in 20th Century’s bag had to be moved around on the release calendar so as to avoid any clasheswith those of Disney. So, despite being completed,The King’s Manwill finally hit theaters almost two years later.
