Summary

On social media, Nintendo announced that three new Amiibo figures featuring Deep Cut fromSplatoon 3will be released later this year. Nintendo posted three pictures of the Amiibo figures that will be sold in the future, with one figure each of Frye, Shiver, and Big Man fromSplatoon 3. The initial response fromSplatoon 3fans about the Amiibo was positive.

InSplatoon 3, Shiver, Frye, and Big Man make up the group called Deep Cut. The trio serves in a similar role to other idol groups including the Squid Sisters and Off the Hook from the first twoSplatoongames, and as the hosts of team-based Splatfests that occur from time to time. However,Splatoon 3expands upon the idol role, as the trio fancies themselves as treasure hunters that consider their role as idols to be their “day job” and a cover for their endeavors. Since the release ofSplatoon 3, Deep Cut has proven to be popular with fans, and Nintendo has chosen to capitalize on this with new Amiibo figures.
