Despite the success ofA Plague Tale: Requiem, there had been some doubt cast on if the studio would be moving forward with a third game any time soon. However, a recent job listing spotted on LinkedIn shows that Asobo Studios is hiring developers for the Plague Team. It’s possible that the Plague Team is working on an original IP, but the more likely scenario is thatA Plague Tale 3is on the way.

This isn’t the first time that ajob listing suggestedA Plague Tale 3could be in development. Earlier this year, Asobo Studio indicated that it was hiring developers for a project that would somehow involve thePlague Talefranchise. Of course, this leaves the door open for the game to be a spin-off or even DLC, so fans should keep that in mind before getting too excited.

IfA Plague Tale 3is in development, it wouldn’t be surprising at all considering the reception the first two games received. However, fans shouldn’t expect to see much of it any time soon. Thenext game from Asobo Studio will beMicrosoft Flight Simulator 2024, launching next year. AssumingA Plague Tale 3is in development, it will definitely be interesting to see where the story goes.A Plague Tale: Requiem’s ending had major implicationsfor where the series could go with a third game, but time will tell what the developers ultimately decide to do.
