Ever since the game’s launch, there have been over 15 million pirates out in the open seas. That number has likely escalated much further, thanks to the game’s launch on PS5.Sea of Thieveshas been one of Xbox’s highest points during the last few tumultuous console generations.

The success ofSea of Thieveson PS5 doesn’t help weather the storm Xbox is currently going through. Microsoftshut down four studioson Tuesday, including the beloved developer Tango Gameworks, which released the stellarHi-Fi Rush. Arkane Austin (Redfall),Alpha Dog Games (Mighty DOOM), and Roundhouse Studios were also shut down. Thankfully, some Roundhouse Studios developers will be hired by Zenimax Online Studios. Understandably, fans have been upset at Xbox’s decision to fire its talent, especially after Xbox’s Aaron Greenberg calledHi-Fi Rusha “break-out hit.”
