Over the years,One Piecehas introduced fans to some incredible characters that have joined Luffy on his journey or played a significant role in him becoming the man that he is today. At other times, these characters play significant roles in the lives of the other members ofthe Straw Hat Pirates.

Sadly, these characters can’t be focused on forever and, for one reason or another, they end up doing their own thing as the story primarily focuses juston the Straw Hat Pirates. That said, eventually, these characters will meet again and these are reunions that fans desperately look forward to seeing later on in the story.
9Luffy And Dragon
Dragon is Luffy’s father and a character who most fans are excited to see more of inOne Piece. He leads the Revolutionary Army and, for that reason, he had to abandon Luffy very early in his life.
Luffy didn’t even know he had a father up until the Enies Lobby arc, where Garp, his grandfather, mentioned it to him. Luffy and Dragon will inevitably meet once again and when that happens, the series will reveal the answer to a lot of mysteries about their relationship.
8Jinbe And Koala
Koala used to be a slave of the Celestial Dragons and her life was turned upside down when Fisher Tiger, the legendary hero who freed slaves from Mariejois freed her as well. Although she was hated by a vast portion of Tiger’s crew, Koala developed a very good relationship with Tiger himself, along with other fishman, such as Jinbe.
Currently, Koala is a memberof the Revolutionary Armyand Jinbe is the Helmsman of the Straw Hat Pirates. The two will inevitably meet in the future when Luffy meets his father. It will be very interesting to see their reunion and, undoubtedly, both are going to be pleased to see each other.
7Sanji And Zeff
Sanji is the cook of the Straw Hat Piratesand everything that he is today is down to his benefactor, Zeff. After escaping from his abusive family, Sanji worked on a cruise ship when, one day, it was raided by the Cook Pirates, led by Zeff.
When a raging storm threw Sanji overboard, it was Zeff who ended up saving his life. In fact, Zeff even gave him all the food that he had when they were caught in the middle of nowhere in the ocean. Sanji was then raised by Zeff to become the man that he is today and, when Sanji meets him again, it will surely be delightful for the fans.
6Usopp And Yasopp
The sniper of the crew, Usopp comes from Syrup Village, a tiny place in the East Blue. His father, Yasopp lived with him and his mother once. This was before he ended up joining the crew of the pirate Red-Haired Shanks.
Yasopp abandoned his family because, according to him, he could not refuse the call of the sea.

Despite that, Usopp still admires his father, and one day, wants to make him proud. He would love to meet his father once again and Yasopp would surely want the same as well. When Luffy and Shanks meet, it will also allow room for Usopp to meet his father.
5Vivi And The Crew
Vivi is an honorary member of the Straw Hat Pirates. She sailed with the crew from Whiskey Peak all the way to Alabasta, where she decided to stay behind and rule her country. Before the group left her behind, though, Vivi made it known that she would one day like to sail with them again and, when the day comes, she would like for them to call her their crewmate again.
It is inevitable for Vivi to meet with the Straw Hat Pirates once again and, with the story now in the Final Saga, this is going to happen sooner rather than later.
4Luffy And Hancock
Luffy and Hancock met shortly after the former was blasted from Sabaody Archipelago by Bartholomew Kuma. Luffy ended upwinning favor of Hancockand the two became extremely good friends. It was Hancock who saved Luffy after the events of the Paramount War and protected him for 2 years from the Navy.
Luffy owes a huge debt to her. Before he returned to his friends, Luffy promised that he would see her again in the future. So far, they have not yet met, however, it is only a matter of time before they come face to face once again.
3Robin And Saul
Perhaps the most influential person in Robin’s life other than the members of the Straw Hat Crew was Saul. The former Navy Vice Admiral helped her combat solitude when she had no one back on Ohara, nearly 22 years ago.
On the day of the destruction of Ohara, Robin believed that Saul had died, however, recently, it was revealed that Saul is alive and well. When the Straw Hat Pirate crew heads to Elbaf, Robin will surely meet Saul once again and it will be a delightful reunion for the fans to witness.
2Brook And Laboon
Possibly the biggest tearjerker of all the reunions inOne Pieceis that of Brook and Laboon. Laboon was a tiny whale who had been separated from her pod and had found solace in the Rumbar Pirates, who had just entered the Grand Line. Due to the ferocious nature of this treacherous sea, Laboon was left behind at the Twin Capes.
The crew promised to return to Laboon from the other side, after completing the circumnavigation, however, the vast majority of it was destroyed. Brook is the only known survivor of the Rumbar Pirates right now and even 50 years later, he still wishes to complete his promise and see Laboon once again.
1Luffy And Shanks
Undoubtedly, the biggest reunion inOne Pieceis that of Luffy and Shanks. These two characters are very beloved to the fans and set the tone forOne Piecein the very first chapter. Shanks entrusted the Straw Hat to Luffy after sacrificing his arm for the young boy and challenged him to see him at the top of the pirate game. Luffy has now become a Great Pirate and shares the title of Yonko with Shanks.
It is only a matter of time before Luffy and Shanks reunite and this is likely going to unfold in a battle. Despite that, both of them hold tremendous amounts of love and respect for each other and their reunion is surely going to be a momentous occasion inOne Piece.
