Building a base is the first thing you’ll do when you startPalworld. Here, you can build different structures and farms to craft items, as well as accumulate resources. Over time, there will be less and less space andmore activities for your Palsto do, so we’re going to show you how to unlock a Second Base inPalworldto double your productivity.
Palworld: How to Unlock a Second Base
Getting access to building a second base is not an easy process and will take you quite a while. The main thing you should do is upgrade yourPalboxto a certain level. Basically, a Palbox is a structure that plays the role of a town hall, which you need to upgrade to improve your base. This way, you may unlock more work cells for your Pals, and thus, the ability to build a new base in the future.
To upgrade your Palbox, you will need to complete the objectives listed in the Base Upgrade menu. You can open this menu by approaching the Palbox and pressing the V key (for PC). In most cases, the tasks you will have to perform are the construction of various structures and buildings on the territory of your base.
It is worth noting that you have to place these structures exclusively on the territory of your base. It is not difficult to understand where your territory ends; just go in a certain direction from Palbox, and you will see blue borders on the ground.
Approximately, you will reach Palbox level 10 after youlevel up your character to level 17. That’s when you’re able to unlock the Cooking Pot, one of the structures you need to build to move from Palbox level 9 to 10.
Palworld: Where to Place the Second Base
Well, it’s worth starting with the fact that a new base isanother point to which you may teleport. Based on this, it is best to place the base in a location with no other teleportation totems nearby. It can also be, for example, hard-to-reach places, or locations filled with various resources that you need to collect.
In our case, we used the second tip because we had a huge shortage of Ore. After carefully exploring the world, we found a location where five veins of this resource were located next to each other. Here, we placed the second Palbox, after which we created all the necessary conditions for our Pals to mine Ore on their own and put it in the chest. In your case, you can make a base anywhere, depending on the goals you pursue.
