Summary
APalworldplayer has discovered an unusual mix of status effects with one of their Pal workers, showcasing an Eikthyrdeer that is both “Overfull” and “Hungry.” The massively popular mix of monster-catching and survival games from developer Pocket Pair gives players plenty of things to do with their in-game Pals. Alongside taking Pals to traverse the in-game world, battling other Pals in the wild, and challenging bosses, players can use their Pals within their base to help with crafting items and building new structures. However, the game also tasks players with keeping their Pals happy and healthy.
While players can assign theirPalworldPals to work within their base, the game features several mechanics for keeping Pals happy and working hard.Palworldmakes use of a hunger mechanic, requiring players to keep themselves, their party Pals, and Pals in their base fed to avoid getting sick. Pals working in a player’s base also feature a “Sanity” mechanic, tasking players with constructing facilities like Hot Springs in order to keep Pals from becoming over-stressed. Now, however, one player’s Pal is boasting some very abnormal afflictions.

Reddit user Orej_ shared their unusual Pal to thePalworldsubreddit, showing off the Pal’s mix of conditions that should offset one another. The user showcases an Eikthyrdeer working in their base boasting both the “Hungry” and “Overfull” status conditions. Pals working in a player’s basetypically develop the “Overfull” statusdue to high levels of stress, leading them to eat too much. The “Hungry” status, on the other hand, implies the Pal is not eating properly, whether due to bugs with the Pal reaching the food basket or a lack of food to eat.
Palworld Pal Both Hungry and Overfull at the Same Time
Other players in the post’s replies were quick to offer a variety of solutions to the Eikthyrdeer’s confusing mix of problems. Many players suggested that the user shouldsimply butcher the Eikthyrdeer, killing the Pal in exchange for more food and materials. Others pointed out that the “Overfull” status effect could be solved using in-game medicine, while some suggested removing the Pal from the base and re-adding them to fix the bug. One player also mentioned that the issue is common within the game’s multiplayer servers, with servers continuing to run while the player is offline.
