Speaking to St. Pete’s Catalyst, a publication based in his hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida, Wilson reminisced on some of the biggest moments in his career, from his early stints on Broadway to his eventual casting in A-list movies such asInsidiousandThe Conjuringmovies. Wilson discussed what it was like to be a part of such highly-acclaimed horror franchises, and at one point, the topic of his co-stars came up. Wilson confessed that he “loves” hisConjuringco-star Vera Farmiga, who he has worked with since the very first film.

He also gave a shout-out to his brother Paul and fellow St. Petersburg actress Eugenie Bondurant, who he also worked with onthe thirdConjuringfilm,The Devil Made Me Do It.Hearing his positive words about hisConjuringco-stars had someAquamanfans wondering whether he felt the same about Heard, who he acted opposite of in the upcoming sequel,Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom. Like Momoa, Wilson has remained silent about Heard and her ongoing legal drama with Depp, despite the fact that they are closely associated with one another professionally.

Naturally, someAquamanfans have jumped to the conclusionthat Wilson’s silence on the issue indicates his reluctance to support Heard due to the many controversies that are currently surrounding her. Of course, that rumor has not been addressed by Wilson himself, and he has yet to make a public statement about Heard and Depp’s defamation case.

The only time Wilson was brought up during the court proceedings was during the testimony of Walter Hamada, the President of Warner Bros. DC-Based Film Production. Hamada testified againstHeard’s claims that her role inAquaman 2was “very pared down” as a result of Depp’s alleged “smear campaign” against her. He explained that the sequel script had been centered around Momoa’s Arthur Curry and Wilson’s Orm from the very beginning, as the studio had always intended for the film to be a “buddy comedy” between the two leads. Hamada also added that Heard was almost let go from the production entirely due to chemistry problems she had with Momoa.
