APokemonfan has created a human form for Ghost-type Pokemon Misdreavus. Misdreavus first debuted in the Generation 2Pokemongames,Pokemon Gold and Silver. Misdreavus didn’t have an evolved form when it first appeared in thePokemonfranchise, though that would change with the Generation 4Pokemongames,Diamond and Pearl.
InPokemon Diamond and Pearl,Pokemonfans were introduced toMisdreavus' evolved form, Mismagius. The decision to create a new form for Misdreavus two generations after it first debuted in thePokemonfranchise shows that Game Freak is well aware of the Pokemon’s popularity. Misdreavus' popularity has endured to this day, withPokemonfans continuing to make art dedicated to the Ghost-type Pokemon.

Reddit user endifi has created a human form for Misdreavus. The character retains Misdreavus' distinctive red and yellow eyes, with blue skin and a dark flowing cape that mimics Misdreavus' color scheme. OtherPokemonfans have praised the work, with many impressed by this new take on theGeneration 2 Ghost-type Pokemon. Those who are impressed by the Misdreavus design may want to check out some of the other work endifi has shared online, as the artist has given human forms to a variety of other Pokemon as well.
One of endifi’s other recent creations saw the artist imaginehuman forms for Umbreon and Espeon, two of the most popular Eevee evolutions. Similarly to Misdreavus, Umbreon and Espeon made their debut in Generation 2Pokemongames. Umbreon is a Dark-type whereas Espeon is a Psychic-type, though they are both obtained in similar ways. Getting an Eevee to evolve into Umbreon or Espeon requiresPokemon Gold and Silverplayers to build a high enough friendship level with their Eevee and then level up with it. If the level up happens in the daytime, Eevee will evolve into Espeon. If it happens at night, Eevee will evolve into Umbreon.
As far as Misdreavus goes, this fan art isn’t the only example of the Pokemon’s enduring popularity. Well over a decade after Game Freak released an evolved form for Misdreavus, it released a brand-new Pokemon clearly based on Misdreavus' design. Paradox Pokemon andGhost/Fairy-type Flutter Manebears a striking resemblance to Misdreavus, and it was just introduced to the franchise as part of the most recent main series games, the Nintendo Switch exclusive Generation 9 titlesPokemon Scarlet and Violet.
