Oftentimes it is system mechanics that gamers want to make different, such as the way that the world works or adjustments to how battles play out. Fans have a lot of ideas when it comes toimproving thePokemonseriesand are not afraid of letting their voices be heard.

Many of the adjustments thatPokemonfans want to see are for the pocket monsters themselves. Whether it be modifications in typing or cosmetics, many fans have ideas for how their favorite creatures can be innovated. Some things can be minor, while others could be game changers.

A Redditor known as JonnyDros posted a few adjustments that they would like to see. The first is adding the Steel-Typing toBlastoiseand to make Cinderace part Electric-Type while adding moves of the typing to its moveset. They also suggested Swampert be given a signature physical mud move, that Decidueye be made faster, and for Duraludon to have a pre-evolution. Finally, JonnyDros posted that Metagross should be catchable before the Elite 4 and Hitmonchan should get a change in outfit.

Many users also had ideas for changes that they want made. Some called for changes in certain Pokemon’s Shiny colorings, with Alakazam and Gengar being mentioned in particular. One commenter stated that they want Psyduck and Golduck to have a secondary Psychic-Typing, while another mentioned that Flygon should be changed to Bug/Ground-Type. It was also brought up that Absol should be made faster to help it make use of its high attack before getting hit, and that Raichu needs some kind of improvement to separate it from Pikachu. There are a lot ofadjustments thatPokemonlovers would like to see, all aiming to make the game better and see their favorite pocket monsters get some love.

Changes to certain Pokemon are not the only modifications that fans want. A Redditor going by the name TheHolyGeckoLord posted an idea for a change inhow the Elite 4 worked inPokemon. Their idea was for players to be given riddles after defeating the eight gyms that would point to the whereabouts of the final bosses. The user stated that they would want the last gauntlet that gamers face to be a sort of treasure hunt, truly testing the mettle of trainers as they aim to beat the game. It is an interesting thought that could help change and develop thePokemonseries while still maintaining long-standing tradition.
