InPokemon GO, in-game events frequently come and pass with each season of the game, allowing players to capture featured Pokemon, and complete Field Research Tasks, Collection Challenges, Timed Research, and more, to earn rewards.
Pokemon GO’sSlumbering Sands event is just one of the many opportunities that players can get involved in duringthe Shared Skies season. This event features the opportunity for trainers to obtain special variants of Slakoth, Vigoroth, and Slaking wearing a sun visor, as well as an assortment of tasks to complete. All Field Research Tasks, Collection Challenges, & Rewards in Pokemon GO’s Slumbering Sands Event
InPokemon GO, the Slumbering Sands event will begin onJune 7, 2024, at 10 AM local time, and run untilJune 12, 2024, at 7 PM local time.During these dates, there will be a series of Field Research Tasks and Collection Challenges that Trainers can complete to earn beneficial rewards to put toward their next adventure. These rewards consist of Pokemon encounters,Stardust, and XP, so they are worth taking the time to do if you plan on taking part in Slumbering Sands.
Slumbering Sands Field Research Tasks
During the Slumbering Sands event inPokemon GO, there will be five different Field Research Tasks that Trainers can participate in and complete to earn encounters with several of the Pokemon featured in the event.
Komala that are encountered through Slumbering Sands Field Research Tasks have a greater chance of being shiny than normal.

All Slumbering Sands Collection Challenges
Pokemon GO’sSlumbering Sands eventwill feature a single Collection Challenge in which Trainers can capture and evolve various specimens to acquire eight featured Pokemon. Upon completing this challenge, they will be awarded with Stardust, XP, and an encounter with Komala.
