Diglett and Dugtrio took something of a backseat inPokemon Scarlet & Violetto their new convergent evolutions - Wiglett and Wugtrio. It’s not hard to see the similarities in the names or appearances, but Wiglett and Wugtrio actuallyhave nothing to do with Diglett and Dugtrio. In terms of evolution, they are completely separated. That being said, Diglett and Dugtrio remain strong fan favorites that have earned their place inPokemon Scarlet & Violet. Here’s how to catch them.

How to Get Diglett in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Diglett isn’t too hard to find inPokemon Scarlet & Violetonce players know where to look. Thanks to them spawning in the Poco Path cave, it might even be one of the first Pokemon players encounter. Its habitat Dex entry can also be trusted here -they travel undergroundand prefer the shade, so will spawn more frequently in the shady areas of the following locations:
When Diglett is spotted, it has the ability to hide underground and travel through the earth, leaving a trail of raised dirt behind it. This is fairly easy for players to overcome, and can be solved by throwing a Pokeball on sight or standing at the end of the dirt trail.
How to Evolve Diglett in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
InPokemon Scarlet & Violet, Diglett requires no special evolution method to evolve. All the player needs to do is get Diglett to Level 26, which can be done in a number of ways. Players can utilize the nowpermanent EXP Sharefeature and have Diglett in the party when battling, or use EXP/Rare Candies to get it to the level required for evolution.

How to Get Dugtrio in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
Unusually for fully evolved Pokemon, Dugtrio has a wider spawn area than Diglett. It follows the same pattern as Diglett, preferring the shadeand cave areas, as well as spawning more frequently in the Desert. It can be found in the following locations:
