Red Dead Redemption 2is full of great scenes, from Sadie getting her revenge to Arthur’s confession to Sister Calderon. However, one of the most popular moments is also one of the few lighthearted sequences in the game, withRed Dead Redemption 2fans loving the mission where Lenny and Arthur get drunk.
The mission is full of hilarious lines of dialogue. Arthur saying Lenny’s name backwards is incredibly funny, for example, as are all the confrontations the inebriated Arthur gets into. Arthur seeing everyone in the saloon as Lenny is another highlight, and many fans have made memes about the moment over the years. Tributes have been created as well, such as aLEGO recreation of Arthur and Lenny’s drunk nighton the town.

While fans of the moment will undoubtedly remember it will, it turns out that Rockstar has included a small detail to make the scene even sillier. Those familiar with the developer’s work will surely be used to this, as there are several smalldetails hidden throughoutRed Dead Redemption 2. As for why this detail was missed out on for so long, it likely has to deal with the fact that players were more focused on Arthur’s drunkenness than Lenny’s, which makes sense since players witness Arthur’s intoxicated state first hand.
During the scene, there is a moment where Arthur Morgan slaps Lenny on the cheek. However, while Arthur hits his fellowVan Der Linde Gangmember on the left side of his face, he does not react to being hit there. Instead, he rubs the right side of his face after the smack occurs. While some fans have wondered if this was an error on Rockstar’s part, it is more likely that this was intentional, with the developer using Lenny’s misplaced hand as a way to show just how wasted he really is.
While it could be some time beforea potentialRed Dead Redemption 3happens, it certainly has a lot to live up to. Hopefully when the game is released, it remembers to break up its tragedies with fun scenes like this one. The scene instantly made players like Lenny, helping him stand out in a gang full of colorful characters. It made Arthur more likable as well, and its placement in the early moments of the game’s story allowed fans to see two of the Van Der Linde Gang members together before everything fell apart.
It is truly incredible that fans are still stumbling upon newRed Dead Redemption 2details over three years after the game made its debut.Rockstar Gameshas always had a reputation for crafting intricately designed worlds, but clearly, it went above and beyond when makingRed Dead Redemption 2.
Red Dead Redemption 2is available now on PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
