Fortnitehas launched yet anotherResident Evilcrossover encompassing new skins and accessories based on Capcom’s iconic horror franchise. The main contents ofFortnite’slatestResident Evilcollaboration already leakedon March 10.

WhileFortnitewas already a global phenomenon by the time Epic Games started doing crossovers with other popular franchises in Season 4, which kicked off in May 2018 and featured content fromMarvel’s Avengers: Infinity War, the practice certainly helped cement the battle royale’s place in the gaming zeitgeist. The developer has debuted well over a hundred such limited promos to date, collaborating with everyone fromStar WarsandTomb Raiderto Eminem and Neymar Jr. Its strategy proved to be so popular that even Blizzard now wants to follow suit withFortnite-style crossovers inOverwatch 2.

In the meantime, Epic and Capcom have teamed up for another collaboration, arriving a year and a half after theoriginalFortnitecrossover withResident Evil. The newly unveiled promo centers on Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield skins, which include Attache Case Back Bling and R.P.D. Keys Back Bling accessories, respectively. Leon’s Combat Knife Pickaxe and the Umbrella Parasol Pickaxe are also part of the crossover, but both are sold separately via the in-game Item Shop at 500 V-Bucks each. The skins are 1,500 V-Bucks apiece, though Epic has once again employed a so-called popcorn pricing strategy by trying to temptResident Evilfans with a Raccoon City Survivors Bundle that includes all of the above and goes for 2,100 V-Bucks.

The crossover’s timing is clearly meant to coincide with the impending arrival of theResident Evil 4remake, which is scheduled to drop on March 24. As per usual, Epic didn’t announce a concrete end date for this promotion, but fans can count on the newly launched cosmetics to stay in the Item Shop for at least a week, as that’s what’s historically been the case with pretty much everyFortnitebrand collaboration to date, including the originalResident Evilone from 2021.

Capcom has been fairly happy to allowResident Evilcrossoversfor years now, so Claire and Leon’s arrival inFortnitewouldn’t be particularly surprising, even if the new skins hadn’t previously leaked and the company didn’t already have a history of collaborating with Epic. These latest additions to the Item Shop arrived mere days after the developer dropped an aptly titled Mega update forFortnite, which introduced a plethora of cyberpunk-inspired content and anAttack on Titancrossover.

Fortniteis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
