Robert Pattinson’sThe Batmanmay be featured in Colin Farrell’s upcomingThe Penguinseries on HBO Max. This would make Pattinson the only cinematic adaptation of Batman to don the cape and cowl in theatrical releases and on a streaming series. The Penguinseries has just begun filmingwith Matt Reeves producing. Ferrell already teased the series, expressing a fantastic script that explores more of Oswald Copplepot and sayingThe Batmanis just the “tip of the iceberg.” Ferrell stated that as fantastic as the makeup and prosthetics were inThe Batman, Ferrell further suggests they spent even more time perfecting it forThe Penguinseries. However, as impressive asThe Penguinis shaping up, the question on some fans’ minds is whether Batman could show up, and according to word of mouth, this could be the case.RELATED:Colin Farrell’s Penguin Series Will Tie Into The Batman 2During a recent episode ofThe Hot Mic, film critic and Senior Film Reporter at Collider, Jeff Sneider, expressed having heard that Batman will be inThe Penguinseries. “Word is that Pattinson is going to appear in the Penguin series,” Sneider said, although no other details were given, and Warner Bros. Discovery and HBO Max have yet to comment on the rumor at this time. The Penguinis reportedly 6 episodes long, each being 45 minutes to an hour, presumably, so there is plenty of time for Batman to show up.
Although it makes sense for Batman or Bruce Wayne to show up in some fashion inThe Penguinseries, audiences should take these rumors with a grain of salt, as Sneider’s track record is somewhat shaky. He was one of many critics who were outspoken in their analysis of the impossibility ofZack Snyder’s Justice Leaguecoming to fruition. Even so, many aspects of The Batman ending could fit Robert Pattinson into the Penguin story. Bruce Wayne could be helping the city after the flood or as Batman in another confrontation with Penguin that may set up the sequel since the series will deal withPenguin’s takeover of Gotham, which was insinuated in a cut scene fromThe Batman.
Casting news has continued forThe Penguin, withSofia Falcone played by Cristin Miliotiand Alum Rhenzy Feliz in a mysterious role. Production is supposed to last 5 to 6 months, so if Pattinson’s Batman appears inThe Penguin, audiences may find out soon.
The Batmanis streaming on HBO Max.
