Not only do gamers tune in toThe Game Awardsevery year to see which games win each award, but they also watch the event for special world premiere game announcements. There’s at least 10 world premieres that will be shown at The Game Awards 2019, though a leak may very well reveal all of them, if it is to be believed.
This leak comes from 4chan, so fans should take it with a massive grain of salt. However, there have been enough legitimate video game leaks from the 4chan that it can’t be ignored completely. There’s another reason why fans should be highly skeptical of this supposed Game Awards 2019 leak, though, but first let’s take a look at the supposed leak.

According to the leak, The Game Awards 2019 will see the reveal of thelong-rumoredBatman: Arkham Legacy, aCrash Bashremake, aBanjo-Kazooieremake calledBanjo-Redooie,PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale 2, remakes of the first twoTony Hawk’s Pro Skatergames,Metroid Prime Trilogyfor the Switch,Sly 5,Grand Theft Auto 6, new gameplay forBreath of the Wild 2, and Phoenix Wright revealed as theSuper Smash Bros. UltimateDLC 5 character.
Besides this lineup being something that would blow even the likes of E3 out of the water, one of the claims made in the leak has already been proven false. Along with the aforementioned announcements, the supposed Game Awards 2019 leaker also claimed that theResident Evil 3remake would be revealed at The Game Awards 2019, with an unknown release date. On the contrary,Capcom announced theResident Evil 3remakeduring the recent PlayStation State of Play presentation, and it even confirmed the game’s August 10, 2025 release date in the process.
This calls the rest of the Game Awards 2019 leak into question, and it’s far more likely that it’s completely fake than it’s legitimate. However, some of the things claimed in the leak have been rumored from other sources as well, including theTony Hawk’s Pro Skaterremakes, thenewCrashgame, and more, so it’s possible some of the Game Awards 2019 leaks listed here will still turn out to be true.
