With roots as an early smart phone gaming phenomenon, PopCap Games' endearingly unique tower defense franchisePlants vs. Zombieshas been capturing the hearts and minds of gamers for well over a decade now. If a recent discovery is to be believed, it would appear that the game is once again set to rise from its grave and on to a brand new platform.

Plants vs. Zombies' most recent entry,Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville, released well over a year ago, but may yet be granted new life if a recent rumor is to be trusted. Wholly unique in the franchise and breaking from its established tradition, the third-person multiplayer shooter may soon be widely available on a console that could be its perfect match.
