In an interview withTODAY, Johannson was asked about the rumors ofBlack Widow’s potential return in a newAvengersmoviefollowing her emotional death inEndgame. TheLucystar asked the hosts if they meant there was a loophole in the storyline potentially giving her character a chance to return. “Yes,” they replied, with one pointing out that Marvel is a “multiverse,” so it’s possible to makeBlack Widowalive in another universe.
However, Johansson seemingly shut down the rumors. “I feel like that’s kinda the end, right? Could it be like a vampire version of the character? I’m here for that! Or a zombie version,” the 38-year-old actress replied. Johansson remarked how the hosts were asking her difficult questions and jokingly told them that she didn’t have to give them the details before asking them to “change the topic quickly.”
