12Cofagrigus
The appearance alone of this ancient sarcophagus-inspired Pokemon is enough to strike fear into those who dare to encounter it. Its intimidating, glowing red eyes and malicious sneer make Cofagrigus a trulyterrifying creature in the Pokemon universe. It’s frightening to imagine the capabilities that Cofagrigus could do with its four lengthy, shadowy arms.
Cofagrigus is a triple threat with its ability to fly, crawl on all four hands, and walk with its bottom two hands. Legend has it that this egregious Pokemon is often used to trap grave robbers. Those who get too close to a Cofagrigus run the risk of being swallowed into its coffin and being turned into a mummy. Cofagrigus also possesses psychic abilities to ensnare unsuspecting humans and induce paralyzing fear. If untamed and provoked, this Pokemon could easily extinguish human life.
11Banette
Consumed by feelings of vengeance and jealousy after being abandoned, Banette is a child’s worst nightmare and is possibly the most terrifying Pokemon ever. This dark gray doll has piercing red eyes, a yellow zipper across its mouth, a star-shaped tail, and sharp claws. In games such asPokemon Ultra Sun&Ultra MoonandPokemon GO,players may come acrossmega evolutions of Pokemon. In its most vindictive form, Mega Banette unleashes hellish agony on unsuspecting humans and Pokemon by unzipping its mouth and claws.
Banette can typically be found in dark and dingy alleyways. Their sole purpose in life is to hunt and get vengeance on the children who abandoned them. These Pokemon often enjoy pulling pranks to generate feelings of fear, hatred, and jealousy, which Banette feeds off of. Its main attack, Curse, involves sticking pins into its own body, thereby transforming its pain into a weapon against its adversaries.
10Haunter
Haunter is a spiky, purple phantom with angry triangular eyes, sharp fangs, and massive disembodied claws. After waiting in the darkness and sneaking up on its next victim, this Pokemon uses its elongated pink gaseous tongue to lick and feed on its prey’s fear and life force. Being licked by a Haunter can cause uncontrollable tremors and sometimes even death.

9Pinsir
Pinsir may not possess the supernatural or psychic abilities of some of its ghostly counterparts, but its alarming strength and primal nature make it an intimidating force in its own right. This Pokemon resembles a stag beetle with its long, prickly horns and sharp claws on each limb. The sides of their mouths are lined with horizontal teeth.
In battle, Pinsir is afierce bug-type competitorwith many uses for its namesake pincers. While they may be useful for lifting and crushing heavy objects, a merciless Pinsir uses its pincers to split its enemies in half. If the victim does not perish from being crushed to death, this ferocious Pokemon swings it around and thrusts it hard to ensure its peril. Sometimes its primal instincts can override its reasoning and strategy, turning it into an unstoppable beast that is seemingly impervious to pain and fear.
8Scyther
This mantis Pokemon exudes an aura of lethal prowess just from a quick glance, not to mention itspiercing-looking evolution of Scizor. Scyther is green with two wings that allow it to zip through the air with astonishing agility. Thanks to its color, it camouflages well in grassy areas.
The two razor-sharp scythes that replace its arms are utilized while hunting or battling to tear the flesh of their prey and are said to be so sharp that they could easily cut through the toughest of materials with deadly precision. A single slice from a Scyther would inflict horrendous pain, but it would likely not stop there. This ruthless Pokemon’s speed and rigor allow it to be unstoppable, slicing and dicing before its victim even gets a chance to make its move. It’s best to stay far away from a Scyther if encountered in the wild.
7Kabutops
Similar to Scyther, Kabutops is a bipedal Pokemon with two sharp sickles extending from its arms. Its head and body are armed with rock-hard shell armor and six spikes spanning from its neck and three down its tail, parallel to its original shellfish inspiration. Originally acompetitive water-type Pokemon, Kabutops’s sleek figure and sharp blades allow it to move seamlessly through both land and water.

This versatile hunter could sever flesh and bones with terrifying ease. Kabutops are known to slash their prey and drain their body fluids for their nourishment. Once its victim has perished and Kabutops has fed off of its blood and life force, Kabutops discards the rest of the body for scavenger Pokemon to feed on. How savage!
6Eternatus
Introduced in the eighth generation of Pokemon, Eternatus is a gigantic poison/dragon-type legendary Pokemon. Its mere presence radiates unease, discomfort, and impending doom. It is thelargest Pokemon in the Pokedex, measuring over 65 feet (or 20 meters) tall. Its body is made up of blue crystals resembling the shape of a skeleton dragon. Small gaps in its “bones” show its glowing core from which Galgar energy is absorbed.

This harbinger of chaos, death, and destruction is so powerful that it can warp the fabric of reality itself. It could be responsible for not only the death ofahumanbut the death ofthe entire human species.
5Yveltal
Yveltal is a Pokemon that is unstoppablein battle. It is the physical embodiment of death and destruction, in direct contradiction to its fairy-type counterpart - Xerneas - which represents new life. Its presence in the world is often associated with natural disasters and apocalyptic events, signaling ultimate devastation. This red and black colored, dark/flying-type Pokemon has a massive, ominous wingspan and tail. As it soars through the air, Yveltal’s arms and sharp talons remain stiff, its body forming the shape of a Y.
Those wings aren’t just made for flying. When Yveltal’s wings and tail spread and begin to glow, it is capable of absorbing the life force of all living beings, reducing them to nothing but ash to restore their own vitality. Yveltal’s Pokedex fromPokemon Ynotes an even more sinister detail about it. Even if trainers have the rare opportunity to slay this beast, Yveltal releases powerful energy to engulf all life surrounding it, causing mass extinction to save itself.
4Onix
At first glance, some may view Onix as a little rocky worm. According to its Pokedex,Onix towers at over 28 feet(8.8 meters) tall and weighs over 460 pounds (210 kilos). It is the tallest Pokemon that is capable of evolving. Its massive stony body can burrow through the Earth’s surface, causing rumbles and earthquakes as it twists and turns. Its body grows stronger and sturdier the more dirt, rocks, and boulders it consumes.

The only thing little aboutthis Pokemon is its weaknesses and resistance. Impervious to harm, Onix has a variety of deathly moves that could knock out even the strongest of opponents. 3Aggron
Aggron is a dark gray dragon-like monster covered from head to toe in plated armor. Sharp horns shield their eyes and claws, capable of puncturing through iron and destroying steel tanks. As asymbol of unwavering defense and unyielding strength, this Pokemon was practically designed for battle.
This rock-type Pokemon is known to be highly territorial and protective of geological structures like mountains and will go to great lengths to keep them safe. Any climbers and tourists run the risk of being decimated by an impassioned Aggron. Miners and loggers are at even greater risk because Aggron takes great offense to those who dare to deface their environment.
