Summary

WithGrand Theft Auto 6on its way, players have been desperately looking for signs of what the next installment in the franchise will offer. The trailer has already revealed that the game will feature two protagonists this time ina Bonnie and Clyde-style storythat takes place in the same region seen inGrand Theft Auto: Vice City. Also, it is safe to assume that the game will feature a variety of mechanics that let fans wreak havoc in an open world.

However, theGTAseries is beloved because of the sheerlevel of detail put into each game. Every previous installment has included some hidden features and details in the game for players to find and interact with. Let’s just hope that some of these make a return forGrand Theft Auto 6.

GTA 5 Alien

The existence of a race of extraterrestrial life forms may not be what players were expecting to discover when playing an action/crime game. However, that is exactly what fans stand to find when playingGrand Theft Auto 5.

The first evidence of aliens in the game can be found in the game’s prologue mission, which takes place in the icy region of North Yankton. If players deviate from the scripted path while playing as Michael, they will find the faint form of an alien creature buried under the ice. Also, players have found a giant flying saucer hovering over Los Santos in the main game. It cannot be interacted with, but perhaps these aliens will make a return,or at least appear,inGrand Theft Auto 6.

The Heart of the city in Grand Theft Auto 4

Grand Theft Auto 4marked the point where the series strayed into more serious territory. The trademark humor of the series was still there, but it became clear thatGTA 4was meant totake place in a very grounded reality. This made the appearance of a giant beating heart inside the Statue of Happiness a very strange find indeed.

Players would have to land a helicopter on the upper level of the statue carefully, but anyone who was successful in this endeavor would be rewarded with a secret. By climbing the ladder inside the statue, players could eventually find a massive heart chained up inside. This organ will bleed if it is shot at, and it is supposed to represent the heart of the city. Since this heart is now canon, it wouldn’t be a shock if something like this returned toGrand Theft Auto 6. Plus, it would be even more fun to find it by accident again.

Driving over a parking meter in Grand Theft Auto Vice City

Parking meters inany open world gameare often used as nothing more than decoration. However, these objects are the source of a hidden detail inGrand Theft Auto: Vice City.

If a player runs into one of these boxes in a car, it will spill money that can be collected. This is not a core gameplay mechanic, just another feature that players will discover when exploring the open world. WithGrand Theft Auto 6set to return to this location in the franchise, it would be nice to see this small feature return. If anything, it is a great way to farm some extra cash when it is needed.

GTA San Andreas Big Foot

One of the few ways to hear about secrets in video games during the PS2 era was directly through friends or other players. The internet was around whenGrand Theft Auto: San Andreaswas released, but it was not the hive of information it is today. As such, many players began to spread the rumor that they had seen Bigfoot roaming around the woods in the game, and fans had no choice but to believe this misinformation.

Of course, there was no Bigfoot inSan Andreas. However, these rumors were so prevalent that Rockstar decided to reference them by including Bigfoot inmissions in bothRed Dead Redemption: Undead NightmareandGTA 5. Perhaps this running joke will continue intoGrand Theft Auto 6.

GTA Vice City North Point Mall Gang

2Police Chases

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

Police Chases are a staple of theGTAseries. However, the police inGrand Theft Auto: Vice Cityaren’t only there to stop the player when they are on a crime spree.

Any players who have been in or around the North Point Mall in this game will recognize its various gangs.Sometimes these gangs will fight with each other, and other times players may notice one or two of these gang members being chased on foot by the police. This added level of crime makes the world feel lived in, and players will receive a $50 reward for helping out the police as a Good Samaritan in these situations. If North Point Mall returns inGrand Theft Auto 6, it would be great to see these small police chases return.

GTA 5 Peyote

1Peyote

Grand Theft Auto 5

In the real world, Peyote is a hard drug that causes extreme hallucinations. InGrand Theft Auto 5, taking Peyote will give the player character the hallucination that they are an animal, and the player gets to control this new beast for a while.

There are twenty-seven Peyote plants scattered around the map inGTA 5,and each one has a different effect. As such, the player gets to spend time as a dog, fish, bear, and even a bird if they find them all. It is a small feature, but it would be fun to experiment as new, Vice City-based creatures via Peyote plants inGrand Theft Auto 6.
