She-Hulkbrought Jennifer Walter’s to the Summer Twilights retreat this week, where she and Emil Blonsky were reunited. Although unconventional, the superhuman retreat wound up being just what Jen needed and was perfectly placed amidst a show that frequently combines the fantastical elements of superhero life with the modern world.
Jen’s love life has taken a shocking turn for the worst and She-Hulk’s biggest challenge yet is lurking just around the corner. Before revealing the plot twist, episode 7introduced quite a few new faces, all of which were rather obscure characters from Marvel Comics in need of some healing.

Man-Bull
Man-Bull’s real name in the comics is William Taurens and like he mentioned inShe-Hulk,his powers were the result of him being experimented on in a lab. Man-Bull had a few brush-ups with Daredevil in the comics, when he was attempting to kidnap more people to be experimented on.
Clearly, Man-Bull seems to be working on bettering himself, so chances are he’s already dabbled in the art of villainy and is trying to move on.Daredevil still has a cameoat some point in the final two episodes ofShe-Hulk, so perhaps Matt Murdock will say something to Jen about he and Man-Bull having previous encounters.

Saracen
Saracen was one of the first vampires on Earth in Marvel Comics, and he successfully adapted to life in the modern world. He first appeared inBlade: Vampire Hunter #1after spending centuries developing his powers beneath the Vatican.
Emil Blonsky said that the Saracen fans met in episode 7 simply thinks he’s a vampire, and he doesn’t seem to share any superhuman abilities with his comic book counterpart. So althoughShe-Hulk’sSaracen won’t be sucking blood anytime soon, it was a nice nod to the upcomingBlademoviethat’s set for release in Phase 5.

El Aguila
Alejandro Montoya, better known by his alias El Aguila, was a Robin Hood-type character in Marvel Comics. He stole money from wealthy criminals and redistributed it to the less fortunate, before eventually teaming up to do good with Power Man and Iron Fist.
El Aguila was amutant in the comics, and as fans saw inShe-Hulk, he can manipulate bioelectricity to give his sword a super-charged blast. Both versions of the character are skilled swordsmen, although his MCU origins were left pretty hazy.

Porcupine
Three different characters took on the Porcupine mantle in the comics, although it’s assumed thatShe-Hulk’sPorcupine is the original villain. The original Porcupine was named Alexander Gentry, and he built the suit as a weapon for the United States Army, but he ultimately decided to keep the suit for himself.
The characters inShe-Hulkcommented on a foul odor coming from the suit when Porcupine took off his mask in group therapy, possibly nodding to the suit’s ability to shoot lethal gasses and chemicals in the comics. Porcupine also struggled with self-confidence in the comics, so his reluctance to part from the suit and show vulnerability inShe-Hulkactually wasn’t too much of a stretch.

Wrecker
Wrecker was introduced a few weeks agoin episode 3, when he and his gang of troublemakers attacked Jen with stolen Asgardian weapons. Wrecker’s real name in the comics was Dirk Garthwaite, and he seems to have parted ways with his crowbar and Wrecking Crew in episode 7 ofShe-Hulk.
The Muppets
While waiting for a text from Josh, Jen watches the Muppets on her couch, showing a scene where Miss Piggy channels otherworldly strength and bends the bars of her jail cell to escape. This parallels Jen’s own superhuman strength and her ability to break free of almost any cage she might be put in as She-Hulk.
Plus,Kermit the Frogis arguably the most famous Muppet in existence and is well-known for his song “It’s Not Easy Being Green.” IfShe-Hulkhas done anything, it’s prove to audiences that having a big, green alter-ego makes life incredibly difficult.

Intelligencia Is Back
After weeks of struggling to find the perfect guy, Jen struck up a wholesome romance with a guy named Josh, who said last week he thought “just Jen” was totally amazing. In keeping with her horrible dating track record, Josh turned out to be the worst date of them all, using their entire relationship as a ploy for Intelligencia.
Last week ended with a guy named HulkKing concocting a plan to get his hands on She-Hulk’s DNA, and episode 7 revealed Josh to be the inside-man doing HulkKing’s dirty work. Jen said she wasn’t worried aboutIntelligenciabecause everyone involved knows they’d get “Hulk-smashed” by her, so hopefully she keeps this same energy when she catches wind of Josh’s betrayal.
