The PC modding community has been altering various aspects of certain games on the platform that allow them to add new content or change things like the playable character, and that’s no different withMarvel’s Spider-Man. OneSpider-ManPC modder has decided to replace the web-slinging Marvel superhero with Ezio fromAssassin’s Creed.
Popular characters across video games and movies often replace main characters in moddable PC games, includingCJ fromGTAreplacing the cat inStrayandThe Simpsonscharacters taking the place of Kratos and Atreus inGod of War.Assassin’s Creedis a franchise that has outgrown the action-packed roots of the original games to become stat-heavy RPGs, but fans of the franchise remain fond of Ezio Auditore from the first sequel and the character’s infamous outfit has been added to multiple games already. YouTube channel Sliderv2 recently released a trailer for their mod that adds Ezio toMarvel’s Spider-Manon PC, which highlights the renowned stealth expert fromAssassin’s Creed 2swinging and jumping from one rooftop to another.

Sliderv2’s Ezio trailer forMarvel’s Spider-Manstarts with the character jumping into action, leaping from a ledge to a rooftop, revealing the well-knownwhite and redAssassin’s Creedoutfit. Ezio quickly springboards from the roof with his hands before spinning with momentum as Spider-Man often does and shooting a web from his hidden blade to swiftly slide off the side of the skyscraper. Spider-Man’s slingshot ability is shown next as Ezio torpedoes past a New Yorker on their phone as he spins through the air in slow motion to showMarvel’s Spider-Manfans the full size and detail of Sliderv2’s Ezio mod.
Given that one of theSpider-Manorigin stories has Peter Parker creating web shooters to traverse the landscape with, it isn’t too farfetched to imagine Ezio ending up with a similar gadget with the help of Leonardo da Vinci. SeveralAssassin’s CreedandSpider-Manfans took to Sliderv2’s popular YouTube video to voice their enthusiasm for both franchise characters, in addition to Ezio’s arrival in the Insomniac game. One player suggested that the Animus snapped in this timeline which resulted in Ezio replacing the web-slinger, while another top comment praised how fitting theSpider-Mangadgetsare for anAssassin’s Creedhero in modern time.
