How to Get the Stone Owl in Stardew Valley

The Stone Owl, like many of Stardew Valley’s surprises, adds an element of mystery and wonder to the daily routines of farm life. It is a random farm event that is considered to be quite rare with only a0.5% chanceof being triggered. Some players may have to patiently wait years for this event, while others may encounter it within the first year of their gameplay.

While its occurrence is completely based on luck, there is one specific thing that players can do to prepare for this event inStardew Valley. To improve their chances of getting the Stone Owl statue, players need to leave a Free Tile somewhere on the farm for it to randomly spawn. If aplayer is lucky enough, the Stone Owl event will happen overnight. As they sleep, players can hear the eerie hoot of an owl in the middle of the night. Upon waking up the next day, they will find an owl sculpture somewhere on their property.

With no other purpose than being a decoration, the Stone Owl statue can be picked and placed anywhere players want – whether indoors or outdoors. When players select the Stone Owl statue, its description simply states: “It’s not clear where this came from, but it looks very fine.”

As it is entirely down to chance, The Owl Statue event can occur more than once – allowing players to have multiple owl statues randomly appear on their farm.

It’s important to note that this Owl statue is completely unrelated to the Stone Owl available at the Night Market, although the two are quite similar. Players who are impatient can simply purchase the Stone Owl from the Night Market for 500g.

Stardew Valleyis available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
