How to Unlock The Sewers

To unlock the Sewers, players need a “Rusty Key,” which can beobtained from Gunther once the playerhas donated60 items to the Museum.

Players can contribute various Artifacts and Minerals toexpand the museum’s collection. In total, there are 95 items that can be donated to the museum, comprising 53 Minerals and 42 Artifacts. Artifacts are often hidden in Artifact spots around the Valley, while Minerals can be acquired by mining, killing monsters, and breaking open different kinds of Geodes.

If players are unsure whether an item can be donated to the Museum, they can check its description in the Inventory, where it will state: “Gunther can tell you more about this if you donate it to the Museum.”

Once the Rusty Key is acquired, it can be found in the Wallet on the Skills tab within the Main Menu. Players can use it to unlock the Sewers.

Things to Do in The Sewers

The Sewers give off an eerie ambiance, with dim lighting casting a greenish tint and creating an otherworldly atmosphere. Fishing

While it maybe surprising to go fishingin the stagnant water of the Sewers inStardew Valley, it’s the only place where players can catchMutant Carp and Radioactive Carp. Each time they enter the Sewers, there is a10% chancefor players to reel in a Mutant Carp, which happens to be one of the five Legendary Fish in the game.

Krobus’ Shop

Krobus is a shadow personinStardew Valleywho resides in the Sewers. He is a friendly monster who runs a Shop where players can buy a variety of rare goods. Krobus’ Shop remains open at all hours daily, even on Festival days.

Fixed Stock

The following items are alwaysavailable at Krobus’ Shop. However, some of the items, such as Stardrop, Crystal Floor Recipe, Wicked Statue Recipe, and the Return Scepter are only available until purchased.

The following items are available only on certain days of the week.

Statue of Uncertainty

TheStatue of Uncertainty allows playersto change their in-game professions. As players level up in different Skills, they have the flexibility to specialize in specific aspects of their farm life.

If players are unsureabout their selected profession, they can opt for a change by donating10,000 goldto the Statue. The Statue allows the player to choose one Skill to change.

Any existing Profession Bonuses will disappear as soon as that profession is changed at the Statue of Uncertainty.

Mutant Bug Lair

As players progress through the game, they’ll encounter an intriguing quest, named the “Dark Talisman.” This quest unlocks an underground chamber known as the Mutant Bug Lair. It is located in the northwest corner of the Sewers. To access this mysterious area, players need to speak to Krobus while the quest is active.

The Mutant Bug Lair is crawling with strange, mutated monsters – namely the Mutant Grubs and Mutant Flies. As such, players should be armed with weaponsand ready for combat.

Additionally, players can catch a unique fish known as “The Slimejack” by fishing in the shallow, green waters of the Mutant Bug Lair. This fish is available year-round but isdifficult for players to catchdue to the constant attacks from the mutant bugs.
