There are tons of interesting characters that gamers will meet along the way, and many will send players off on unexpectedly fun side quests that can be just as important as the main quest.

This guide will show fans how they can start and complete the Deep Cover mission inStarfield. Deep Cover is the start of a great adventure with one of the United Colonies' security units and the infamous Crimson Fleet faction; it’s definitely worth giving this mission a try.
How to Start Deep Cover
Players can start quests inStarfieldin all sorts of ways. Sometimes they’ll come across a ship that they can hail, and the crew will give the player information that may lead to a mission. In big cities, it’s common to overhear strangers talking about events going on somewhere else. And other times, gamers might be talking to an NPC in trouble, and they might be able to step in and lend them a hand.
Deep Cover is a mission that most players will stumble upon unexpectedly, as it starts off in an especially unconventional way.to start the Deep Cover mission inStarfield, players have to get arrested on Jemison. The first time that they’re arrested, it will trigger the mission, and players will wake up on the UC Vigilance ship.

Gamers can easily get themselves arrested on Jemison bypickpocketing in New Atlantis. There are UC security guards everywhere, and they will chase the player as soon as they notice them engaging in illegal activity. Once the UC guards approach the player, they mustrefuse to pay their bounty in order to get arrested instead.
Deep Cover Walkthrough
When players are arrested on Jemison for the first time, they won’t be taken to jail; they will actually find themselves aboard the UC Vigilance ship on Phobos, moon of Mars. Here, gamers will come face-to-face with Commander Kibwe Ikande, who’s part of the United Colonies System Defense, which is a part of the UC Navy. This division deals mostly with theCrimson Fleet, andIkande wants the player’s help infiltrating the fleet to make a case against them.
If gamers accept Commander Ikande’s offer, they will agree to go undercover and gather more information on the Crimson Fleet. After the interrogation, players must go up to the Operations Center to discuss more details with Commander Ikande.

The next step is to talk to Saoirse Bowden at the Trade Authority in Cydonia, on Mars. Apparently, there’san opening into the Crimson Fleet, and the Commander wants the player to get it; gamers will have to attempt to get Bowden’s attention by giving her a sample of Aurora in order to sell an entire container.
Before heading to Mars, players must talk to Lieutenant Toft. This will initiate theBurden of Proof mission, which requires players to gradually gather evidence against the Crimson Fleet and hand it over to the United Colonies in exchange for a monetary reward.

Unfortunately, Saoirse Bowden and the Trade Authority won’t be much help. Players will have to give her 1,000 credits just so she can point them in the direction of someone else who might be able to take care of the Aurora container.
After speaking with Bowden, gamers must talk to Adler Kemp. He runs with the Crimson Fleet and can be found at the Broken Spear bar.

Kemp will agree to help the player, but he wants them to take care of a problem first: Karl Fielding, a miner, owes him 3,000 credits.Players can find the miner at Deimo’s Miner’s Quarters, which is the residential area just left of the community center.
After talking to Karl Fielding, players can pay his debt and let him off the hook; they can attack him; or they can attempt topersuade him to pay it. Once this has been dealt with, they must return to Adler Kemp, who will then talk to Naeva Mora, second to the big boss in the Crimson Fleet. This will be the end of the Deep Cover mission and the start of Rook Meets King, which continues this storyline.
