As part of the initiation into The Underground, he must walk across a crane that hangs off the skyscraper adjacent to their Fisk Tower hideout. For one gamer, the anxiety-inducing sequence takes a dark turn as Phin falls off the crane, and her body is left mangled in the street below while traffic pays her no mind.

Redditor u/spongiman shared pictures of the gruesome aftermath of Phin’s premature death in r/SpidermanPS4, where she lies in the street below. What makes it even more horrifying is that they try to play through the game after Miles makes it into Fisk Tower, and the dead body of Phin appears inside and continues on in front of him, dialogue included. Commenters joke that the game is over, considering that Phin becomes Miles' final opponent in the game. They don’t have any footage of what led to her fall, but fortunately, another Reddit post did manage to get a video capture of what would cause thebug inSpider-Man: Miles Moralesthat would make Phin fall off the crane.
u/Sentero made a post in this same subreddit with this same interaction but has a video of Phin’s fall. It’s a bit more complicated than justa glitch inSpider-Man: Miles Moralesand more about script timing. Phin is supposed to be in front of Miles when they start crossing on the crane, then she jumps off ahead of him when they reach the end. But if the player goes ahead of her and stops for any reason, her scripting and dialogue continue as usual. She will then jump off like she’s at the end of the crane even though Miles is ahead of her, and she falls.
This fall off the crane is such an anti-climatic, yet morbidly hilarious death for this character. This is something within the game lore she may have done hundreds of times before, but now that Miles is with her, she botches the crossing. But it is interesting that she even has a death model animation, given her scripted demise at the end of the game. But both users just had to reload the crane sequence, which brings Phin back to life and continue on with the amazing story inMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
