There aren’t many upcoming Nintendo-published Switch games that have dates on the calendar for 2021 just yet. However, one exception to that is the upcomingSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, which is expected to launch on February 12, exclusively for the Switch. SinceSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Furyis a port of a Wii U game, one would think that fans already know everything there is to know about it, but it will actually have some new content for fans to check out as well.
So far, very little is known about theBowser’s Furypart of theSuper Mario 3D WorldSwitch release. However, it seems as though more information on it should come to light sooner rather than later. As pointed out by NintendoLife, the officialSuper Mario 3D Worldwebsite has gone live, confirming that more information onBowser’s Furyshould be coming soon. With the game set to launch on February 12, one has to imagine that the details would be revealed sometime between now and then, unless Nintendo decides to keep a lid on it until launch day. The “full site” forSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Furyis also said to be coming soon, though, so fans should hopefully learn more sooner rather than later.

TheSuper Mario 3D Worldwebsite also reaffirms some previously-revealed information about the game. As previously confirmed,Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Furysupports online co-op, which was completely absent in the original release. Nintendo has a habit of supporting local co-op and multiplayer over online options, so it’s nice to see a Nintendo game come out that supports both local and online play.
And finally, theSuper Mario 3D Worldwebsite also reaffirms amiibo support for the game. TheCat Mario and Cat Peach amiibowill both be compatible withSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, with players able to use them to get power-ups in the game. It’s possible that the game will have expanded amiibo support beyond that, but if so, Nintendo hasn’t revealed those details just yet.
If Nintendo is planning to reveal Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Furysoon, it will be interesting to see exactly how it does it. Anew Nintendo Direct presentationwould be the most exciting way, as it would not only give fans new information aboutSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, but new information on upcoming Switch games in general. However, it’s also possible Nintendo will have a presentation focused exclusively onSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, or it may just drop a trailer.
Whatever the case may be, here’s hopingNintendopulls the curtain back on theBowser’s Furypart ofSuper Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Furysoon so Switch owners can stop speculating about what it will entail.
