Terraria Patch 1.4.5 Sneak Peek

Re-Logic published aState of the Game post on the officialTerrariaforums, and one of the topics included a sneak peek into the quality-of-life features that Patch 1.4.5 is expected to add. Most players who have fought enemies in themany biomes ofTerrariaprobably have mixed feelings about banners. While they are a great cosmetic item that can tie a room together, or finish up a balcony or roof, banners also tend to clutter up the inventory or awkwardly remain as drops in the overworld. Patch 1.4.5 will add a dedicated window for claiming banners, effectively solving their only issue.

On top of the banner claiming window, thebase building inTerrariawill also get even more convenient with the addition of roller skates. These will allow players to slowly move along a line of blocks or platforms and thus be able to expand it without a fear of falling down. Furthermore, they will also mimic the use of Minecarts inTerrariawhen interacting with a minecart track.

While not mentioned in the post itself, Patch 1.4.5 is expected to also include a crossover withDead Cells, several new whips, new boss music for enemies like Skeletron, the Eater of Worlds, or the Twins, as well as newmounts inTerraria. The developers claim that the update will be ready “when it’s ready,” but have previously hinted that 2024 could be one of the best years for the game.
