This new slate will see four theatrical DC releases this year following the highly successfulThe Batmanfilm. DC is looking to get back to its shared universe after introducing a new take on the famous caped crusader. These films will introduce more plot points for writers to go off, and one can assume that things are being moved in order to accommodate the upcoming ramifications fromThe Flashmovie’s rumored timeline corrections.

Fans are struggling to understand how everything will change and how things will start to shape up after these changes. The films will no doubt have to make some adjustments in terms of which characters are now in what universe. The upcoming films will also need to keep in mind what the television series projects do. Followingthe success ofPeacemakerand Marvel Studios' recent success on Disney Plus, it looks like DC may continue producing content for both theaters and streaming services.

Those who were waiting for these DC releases will unfortunately have to wait a little longer. For now, they’ll have to enjoy the recently releasedBatmanfilm before getting ready for an animated feature film that follows the pets of everyone’s favorite heroes. A few months later,Black Adamwill debut in theatersbefore his counterpart Shazam makes the Christmas debut just in time before the new year. There’s also DC’s CW series along with updates on the video game releases such asSuicide Squad Kills the Justice LeagueandGotham Knights. This year, DC will be overloading with content, to say the least, and hopefully they keep their foot on the gas.
