The Garden Pathlets players pick up tons of plants, leaves, and tea ingredients, and they will also have to fish up a variety of marine life. While picking up these fish, you might notice that you have an option to release a fish’s song.
If you are curious to learn what these fish songs can do when released, this guide is for you. It’ll dive into which fish should be kept, which should be traded, and what fish are best to be released as songs in thisfarming simulation game.

How to Release Songs of Fish in the Garden Path
If you go into your inventory - using the I key on a keyboard or the menu button on a controller - you can scroll over all the fish in your inventory. Not all critters you can fish up have songs that you can release; frogs and other non-fish creatures don’t have this ability. But if you scroll over an actual fish, you will be able to see what the song will do when released.
Press the interact button on a controller or E on a keyboard to use the fish’s song. The game will ask if you are sure you want to release the fish’s song, prompting you to press E again. Select “Yes,” and the fish’s song will change the immediate area around you. Sometimes, fish will plant seedlings of trees or bushes or flowers, but some fish can actually take you back to your house. Some of the fish you’re able to catch with thefishing mechanics in this gamecan even carry tones inside them.

Should You Release Fish Songs or Keep Them in Garden Path?
While it might seem like a good idea to hold onto fish in case you need them in the future, most fish can be used at any time. Keeping a few to transport yourself back home after traveling across the map is a good idea, but planting trees and seeds around the garden is a better idea than trying to trade them. You will need more herbs and tea ingredients than you will need the fish, so don’t be afraid to use them often.
How to Fish in the Garden Path
to release any fish songs in thiscozy indie game, you will fish first. In order to get a fishing rod, you will need to find an NPC named Larto. He is found in the bottom right of the map in the little lake that is found down there. He will give you a fishing rod, and you can also trade plants for some of his fresh fish. Larto tends to carry rare fish and out-of-season fish to trade.
to fish, you need to equip your fishing rod, and then stand near a body of water. Press the interact button to startthe fishing mini-game. Once in the game, you will see a little 2x2 square appear on the screen. Move the L stick around the 2x square until a colored circle appears. There will be three rings of circles; you need to stay in the bright red one in the center until the fish comes to your hook. Then you can press interact to put it into your inventory. Much like other similar games, different fish and critters appear during different times of the day and times of the year.
