While Baker believes Brolin would be great for the role and even pitched it to him in an airport lounge, Baker wants a different take on Joel’s character. Despite Brolin being a great fit for Joel, to Baker he may be too similar to the Joel he voices.

Of the two possible outcomes; whether somebody out of left field takes the role and kills it or Troy comes in to save the day, either one is a “win” for Baker.
