During an interview with CinemaBlend to promoteSpider-Man: No Way Home, Holland confirmed that Hardy was on the same set used to shootNo Way Home, but he was actually there to shoot theVenom: Let There Be Carnagepost-credits scene. “I was on set, Amy Pascal came over to me and had a conversation about it,” Tom Holland said. “I was very excited. Tom Hardy came to set only a few days later to film his side of the Venom tag.”

Rumors have been surroundingSpider-Man: No Way Homenonstop since it’s was first announced. People are convinvced that all types of characters will be coming into the film and that one of them is Hardy’s Venom. Prior to Holland’s recent comments, Hardy wasspotted with aSpider-Man: No Way Homehatthat many believed meant the two characters would crossover.

Seeing as how Marvel Studios and Sony collaborated to make theLet There Be Carnagepost-credits scene happen, there’s a small chance that Venom will actually make it intoSpider-Man: No Way Home. If it does happen, then it would definitely be a welcome surprise for the fans. Seeing the two characters fighting each other would be very reminscent of the comic books and video games, where both are always at each other’s throats.

TheVenomsequel also debuted the villain Carnage, who had his eyes set on the domination of Earth. Carnage was very much a different breed of evil in comparison to Venom, as he didn’t have a kill code and was also a much more unhinged version of the symbiote that fans know and love.

Spider-Man: No Way Homewill be in theaters on December 17th, 2021.
