Ubisoft releasedAssassin’s Creed Valhallaback in 2020, and since then, players have discovered hidden details in the vast open world, have developed ideal strategies for defeating the many difficult enemies, and have stumbled across unique glitches. One suchAssassin’s Creed Valhallafan recently found a weird issue with one of the game’s bosses when it flung them miles through the air off a mountain.
Reddit user Exiledlemon recently shared a clip from theirAssassin’s Creed Valhallaadventure in which they’re attempting to battle the Elk of Bloody Peaks, one of severalLegendary animals inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla. The clip begins with the player dodging the Elk of Bloody Peaks at low health with the animal at under half health, showing that quite a battle had already transpired before the video begins. As the player rolls away from the imposing stag, the animal rears up for a charged attack and runs towards Exiledlemon at full speed to hilarious effect.

Behaving in a peculiar way, the Elk of Bloody Peaks tracks theAssassin’s Creed Valhallaplayer through their dodge to ensure that its attack connects. After puncturing theAssassin’s Creed Valhallafan with its massive rack of horns, the Elk of Bloody Peaks spins erratically before flinging the player off a nearby cliff. Because the stag was attacking Exiledlemon on a cliffside, its attack animation unfolded strangely prior to its completion, which results inEivorbeing thrown through the air for several miles before eventually plummeting to the ground below after leaving the mission area.
Unlike Exiledlemon in their clip,Assassin’s Creed Valhallaplayers will want to dodge the Elk of Bloody Peaks' Antler Charge, one of four attacks that the animal will resort to in this battle. The other attacks are the Antler Attack which is its most basic maneuver, a Bucking Back Legs Attack that will target Eivor if they’re behind the animal, and the Antler and Kick combo which is arguably its most devastating move. Like other attacks fromAssassin’s Creed Valhallahunting targets, the Antler Charge typically throws players across the battlefield rather than the map, but Exiledlemon is seemingly defeated by a combination of the boss and a bug associated with the Elk being so close to the ledge.
Assassin’s Creed Valhallais among many titles in the series that allow players to kick enemies from great heights for an easy victory, but in Exiledlemon’s case, it was the Elk of Bloody Peaks who benefited from fall damage. There are many Legendary animals inAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, and the Elk of Bloody Peaks is often the first of these animals that players encounter in their journey. OnceAssassin’s Creed Valhallafans are able to defeat the powerful creature, Wallace from the Hunter’s Hut will mount the Elk Head in theirRavensthorpelonghouse.
