Will Halo Infinite Be Successful?
Halofans have been waiting for a long time for the eventual release ofHalo Infinite. The game was initially slated to be a launch title for the Xbox Series S and X, however, after its reveal, it was delayed to add a bit of polish. Fans have since seen the game in greater detail, and thoughts are thatHalo Infinite’sdelay was for the bestin the long run. While recentHalogames have been guilty of changing up the formula too much,Halo Infinitefeels like a traditionalHalogame mixed with some of the innovations of the likes ofHalo 5. It seems thatHalo Infinitemay strike the right balance forHalofans new and old, and be a return to form for the classic Xbox series.
The return toHalo Infinite’sclassic form has caught the eye of Twitch streamer Ninja, who has alluded to the possibility that he may be looking to go pro inHalo Infinite. This is big news, asNinja has previously expressed a desire to step away from competitive gamessuch asApex LegendsandFortnite, so a possible return to competitive gaming withHalo Infinitebodes well for the game. WhileHalo Infinite’sbalance of classic elements may appeal toHalofans, other large streamers have some concerns over the longevity ofHalo Infinite. Streamers such as Dr Disrespect and Nickmercs have suggested a way thatHalo Infinitecould maintain relevancy, though their suggestion has been somewhat controversial among fans.

Should Halo Infinite Get A Battle Royale Mode?
Earlier in the year, Dr Disrespect shared his opinions on gameplay footage ofHalo Infinite, with concerns thatHalo Infinitedidn’t do enough to change up the formula. He further stated that he had fears that whatHalo Infinitebrought to the table wouldn’t be enough. However, he finished off his rant by mentioning that aHalo Infinitebattle royale mode would help to make the game appeal to a larger player base. Dr Disrespect later mentioned thatHalo Infinitewould have a 300 player battle royale mode claiming he was receiving “inside information”. Fans may want to take these claims with a grain of salt, however, asDr Disrespect is notorious for his trolling antics.
While rumors aroundHalo Infinite’sbattle royale modeare likely a case of Dr Disrespect trolling, this hasn’t stopped fans from chiming in with their opinions on the mode. Fellow streamer Nickmercs has said thatHalo Infinitewill fall in relevancy two weeks after its release without the implementation of a battle royale mode, pointing to the success ofWarzoneas an example. Nick is by no means the only streamer to back the idea of aHalo InfiniteBR mode, though, as TimTheTatman has suggested thatHalohas the perfect framework for a battle royale mode. The concept of aHalobattle royale mode is understandably controversial. However, it’s likely that there would be a lot of demand, as is shown by the dialogue among popular streamers.
Halo Infinitelaunches on December 8 for PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
