What Does The Lance Talisman Do?

The Lance Talisman requires 0.7 Weight to equip, ending up on the lower-weight spectrum. This Talisman increases attack damage by 15% while riding on horseback. This might sound great, but in reality, it is not that useful. As most of the regions in the game are vast in area, this means that you will be riding on Torrent for most of it. The additional damage from the Talisman can be useful to take out enemies while riding, but in most cases, it is better to get off horseback and deal with the enemiesusing Weapon Skillsor Spells.

As the Talisman does not increase the damage of Spells or Magically enhanced attacks, players who are using a Faith or Intelligence build will outright ignore this item. In addition to this, areassuch as mostLegacy Dungeonsand even main areas do not allow the player to ride Torrent, making this item obsolete. You can also not use this during boss fights and during co-op play, as you can not summon Torrent in those situations. It can have its high moments, and save your life in some situations, but those are rare circumstances.
