Elden Ring: Shadow Of The Erdtreeadds even more weapons to the already huge list for players to choose from. Many of these weapons focus on being unique, fulfilling their own niche, and offering new potential builds for players to make that aren’t just higher-stat DLC weapons.
One of these more niche weapons players can find is theMain-gauche. This weapon seemslike a usual rapierwith an unnaturally short blade, making it function as a dagger best used in the player’s off-hand; here’s where to find it.

Where To Get The Main-gauche In Shadow Of The Erdtree
Players can find the Main-gauche by progressing through the DLC and reaching the Shadow Keep. After defeating the Golden Hippopotamus, the Main Gate Plaza Site of Grace will appear. From here, take a right and head through the small room to reach the outer rampartsof the keep. Make your way up the stairs, fighting the various soldiers found along the way.
When approaching the second set of stairs, approach slowly, as an enemy will jump out from the right and try to hit you as you pass. Go into the room that enemy came from and back-stab the enemy with their back turned to you. From there, look to the right to see a soldier sitting on the ground. After defeating him, look throughout the rest of the room to see two more soldiers along the back wall. At theirfeet will be a corpse with theMain-gauchebeing found when looting it.

The Main-gauche isn’t a high damage-dealing weapon and isbest when used in your off-hand. This daggercomes with the skill Parryand excels in creating an opening while still giving players a stronger weapon in their main hand to deal more damage and have access to another skill with. This weapon hasslash and piece attacksthat can make it versatile in situations where more damage-type options are needed.
While themain purpose of this weapon is to use the parry skill, it can be infused with other ashes of war to change how it works. With only a weight of 2.0, it can be worthwhile to have this weapon as a backup option specifically to use apowerful Ash of Warbefore switching back to a different weapon that better fits your playstyle.
