Ramattra is a relatively new character toOverwatch 2. The Null Sector omnic terrorist group leader was thefirst character introduced afterOverwatch 2’s launch, and is the most recent Tank hero it has released at the moment.

Redditor andOverwatch 2fan Zeukiiii shared a video of a game playback featuring Ramattra in a big way. Both teams had Ramattra as their tanks, and an Echo as one of their two DPS heroes. In the short clip, bothRamattras activated their Annihilation ultimates for an epicOverwatch 2duel. Then both Echos used their Duplicate ultimates to become Ramattra as well, filling the battlefield with four versions of the tank hero for a brief moment.
Annihilation creates a dangerous zone where all nearby enemies take damage while standing near Ramattra, so the entire battlefield quickly turned into a death trap for both teams. Echo’s Duplicate allows her to use her target’s ultimate if she charges it up quickly enough. Unfortunately, the team fight ended before the bonus Ramattras were able to use Annihilation, or the battlefield would have been a truly horrifying.
Fans got a kick out of this hilarious Ramattra showdown. They joked about how much both sides of the battlefield truly suffered as he had–a reference to Ramattra’svoice line when he activates his ultimate inOverwatch 2. Another said these players were essentially doing “mystery heroes with extra steps,” as the roulette game mode often sets up mirror matches like this. One gameplay-focused fan actually pointed out Ramattra’s powerful kit and survivability tools makes him an excellent pick for Echo’s ultimate.
Though many heroes inOverwatch 2have some iconic lines, Ramattra’s fantastic voice actor and intense delivery have made him particularly memorable.Overwatch 2itself even got in on the fun for April Fool’s Day, when it turned his Annihilation activation line into a full-blown villain monologue that often outlasted the ultimate itself.Overwatch 2is set to reveal a new solar-themed support heroin a couple of weeks for Season 6, but fans can probably expect a new tank hero some time next year. IfOverwatch 2takes this chance to introduce a bombastic personality like Mauga into the game, perhaps his voicelines will be as memorable as Ramattra’s.
