Desert Voe Armor inBreath of the Wildwas one of those armor sets that were easy to miss and not as vital as its vai counterpart: the Gerudo Set. Thanks to the changes brought on by The Upheaval inTears of the Kingdom, players have the option of getting a piece of the Voe Set before they set foot into the Gerudo Wasteland.

The Voe Headband will be the first piece of armor that players come across for this set. Finding the remaining two pieces inTears of the Kingdomwill require Link to find the Gerudo Secret Club in Gerudo Town. UnlikeBreath of the Wild, he won’t need a password to get in. Instead, he’ll need durable weapons and the Ascent Ability.

Kara Kara Bazaar: Desert Voe Headband

While players can glide towards Gerudo Town if they’re close or have enough stamina, then they can do so. However, it’s recommended to visit theKara Kara Bazaarfirst. Here, players can speak to a Gerudo merchant namedSaula, who is selling theDesert Voe Headbandfor 450 Rupees.

The bazaar/shop’scoordinatesare:-3273, -2551, 0023.

How to Find Gerudo Town

Saula will tell Link of a store in Gerudo Town called Fashion Passion, which is where players can get the remaining two pieces of the Gerudo Set (Desert Voe Spaulder and Desert Voe Trousers). It’s the same place where players could buy a second Gerudo Set inBreath of the Wild. Only this time, Gerudo Town is completely abandoned and in ruins thanks to The Upheaval.

Look on the outskirts of Kara Kara Bazaar for theMayatat Shrine. Activate it to establish a Travel Point. Near this Shrine, there is aSand Seal. Equip a shield thathasn’t been fusedwith Zonai equipment, and approach the sealasquietly as possible. When Link is close enough, press A-button when prompted. Head towards theDesert Rift, but avoid the columns of sand.

Once Link surfs out into the desert, the map will become staticky and unreadable. Those struggling with navigating the desert should keep an eye on the map coordinates, which donotdisappear.

Gerudo Town’s coordinates are-3875, -2864, 0043.

If Link loses his sand seal, then use the coordinates on the bottom-right map as a guide. Be careful of Gibdos and other enemies. It’s also easier to find Kara Kara Bazaar and Gerudo Town if players activatethe Gerudo Canyon Skyview Tower first.

Where to Find Desert Voe Spaulder & Desert Voe Trousers

Since there are no guards this time around, walk on in. There’s theSoryotanog Shrineatop the Gerudo Chief’s room, so be sure to climb up there and Activate that before leaving. The next step is to find theGerudo Secret Shop. Even if players remember where it is, Greta and Perda won’t open the door for Link.

Instead, head towards the front gate and go to the dried-up waterway. Thecoordinatesare-3792, 2903, 0043:

Players will want to equip a weapon fused with a rock or boulder and break down the wall. Go through here and smash even more walls. Clear enough rocks to revealRusty Claymoresand someRocksjust in case Link’scurrent weapon breaks. Equip the Rusty Claymore, switch toFuse Ability, and fuse them together to create aRock Hammer.

Link should take the left path at the split, and climb up the wall to another set of breakable walls. Clear this away, and eventually, players should see a room with three pillars (coordinates:-3796, -2924, 0032):

Gerudo Set Cost & Defense

The Gerudo Armor are very expensive, but players should at least have enough for theDesert Voe Headband. If players just need heat-resistant armor, then pick up the Headband first andget the remaining pieces later. The Gerudo Set parts are priced as the following:

  • Every piece of the Gerudo Set offers a base3 Defensewhen bought.

Those struggling to get RupeesinTears of the Kingdomshouldsell their Gemsor findBlupees. The sell price of Amber has dropped from 30 Rupees to 10 Rupees fromBotWtoTotK, but selling a handful will be enough to net the Desert Voe Headband. Blupees seem to have gotten braver during The Upheaval, and Link can find them just about anywhere in Hyrule. Sneak up on them and hit them with a weapon to make them drop green, blue, red, or even purple Rupees.

If players are in their earlier stages ofTears of the Kingdom, then they should save their money and return to get the Desert Voe Spaulder/Trousers when they’ve gotten a little richer.
